Taking a walk down memory lane at Fallon & Byrne! Back in 2009, stocking our pizza bases on these shelves for the first time was a real turning point for our business. We’re so proud to still be here today!
Our handcrafted pizza bases are waiting for you—pick them up in-store and bring a little slice of tradition to your kitchen! ❤️
Stock up and save! Get 20% off our Pizza da Piero bases at Tesco stores nationwide until Tuesday, 18th March!
Enjoy them fresh or freeze for later—they defrost in minutes and cook at 250°C in just 5 minutes!
This time last year, Piero spoke with Fallon Moore of @blasnaheireann about our Christmas family traditions. (Here’s a short snippet!)
For those of you who don’t know, Piero is originally from Treviso, Italy, and his mother is Slovenian. We love celebrating both traditions, whether we’re in Dublin or Treviso. This year, we’re celebrating in Dublin!
This evening, we’re planning a traditional Christmas cake bake-off with our kids! Piero is baking his mother’s Slovenian Potiča cake recipe, and I (Cliona) am baking a classic @nevenmaguire recipe! Stay tuned to see how we get on! 🤞
You can listen back to the full Christmas 2023 PodBLASt chat with Fallon and Piero through the link in our bio.
Thank you, Fallon and Blas na hÉireann for the opportunity to share our Christmas family traditions. ❤️🎄
Are you ready for family dinners during the Christmas school holidays?
Our pizza bases are quick, fun, and a hit with the kids (and big kids!)
Here’s a throwback to chef @ericadrumie creating a classic Margherita pizza earlier this year - one of Piero’s favourites. Thank you, Erica and happy Christmas to you, Stella, and Dave! ❤️🍕🎄
It’s almost showtime, and we LOVE this year’s theme! Home Alone! ❤️ The Late Late Toy Show is one of our favourite nights of the year! Our kids have grown up with the Toy Show as a Christmas season tradition, just as I (Cliona here) did. It’s the night when everything starts to feel exciting for Christmas—like school plays, parties, and pantos! We love recreating old traditions each year and coming together as a family to celebrate. Of course, Piero’s pizzas are always part of that too! He loves to make a mix of pizzas for us, including his classic margherita, vegetable, and meat pizzas, while we settle in around the television to enjoy the show.Looking back, some of our favourite moments include Saoirse Ruane being amazing and raising millions for charity, Adam King and his virtual hug, Dermot Kennedy surprising teenager Michael and singing alongside him, and the kid who said ‘Níl’ while riding his tractor past Ryan! 😂And so many more! For those tuning in, we hope you have lots of fun—and pizza!
Today, we’re raising a slice to our co-founder, Gianpiero De Vallier—known to us affectionately as Piero! Growing up in Treviso near Venice, Piero’s baking journey started when he was about 15 years old, learning his family’s Italian recipes passed down through generations. With over 25 years of experience in bakeries across Europe, he brings that magic to each of our pizza bases, handcrafted daily in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin! His expertise in sourdough starters infuses each of our bases with unbeatable quality and flavour.
With his Irish wife, Cliona, Piero founded Pizza da Piero in 2007—the same year they got married! Since then, he’s been crafting our multi-award-winning pizza bases for families to enjoy at home.
So today, on #WorldPizzaMakersDay, we’re celebrating Piero the best way we know how—by firing up the oven and getting the kids involved in making their own pizzas. And since it’s also #WorldChampagneDay, grab a fizzy (whatever that means in your house!) and join us in raising a toast to Piero, to family, and to pizzas! 🍕 🥂

After the storm comes the sun! We’re taking full advantage of this mild October weather by firing up the garden pizza oven and making the most of outdoor gatherings.
Kicking off the week with a delicious Mozzarella, mushroom, blue cheese, and crispy onions pizza, made on our award-winning Pizza da Piero bases. It’s the perfect excuse for us to bring our new neighbours at home together and enjoy good food in great company.
Who else is making the most of these days with their pizza oven?
Stunning week holidaying on Valentia Island, Kerry. We’re watching the Paris Olympics closing ceremony, enjoying a delicious V&T with Valentia Island Vermouth on a beautiful evening!
