Im late showing this latest one.
It was Gus's 7th birthday and I asked him what cake would you like, he replied "a galaxy one with planets in it", to my annoyance! Google search can be your best friend sometimes.
This was the result. A mirror glazed galaxy cake, two layers filed with vanilla buttercream with planets showing thru every slice. He was thrilled and more so, I pulled it off.

Celebrated a family friends birthday recently and only now getting around to posting. Made a French Apple Pie cake. Apple cider cake layers with shortbread frosting, apple pie filling, streusel crumble with vanilla bean buttercream. Honestly, devine. So moist, but layered with streusel crumble to give it a bite. It was the quickest cake to vanish off a table. Apologies for the photos,they were the best I could so as it was getting demolished!
